SAT/ACT, LSAT, MCAT, GRE &. Testing Accommodation Assessments and Letters

Professional exams like the SAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, GMAT can be challenging to study for and test day can be a drain. Cognitive, emotional and behaviors symptoms can affect your capacity and ability to think, focus, learn, memorize, recall or complete tasks, adding stress to this challenge. I support individuals by conducting evidence based assessments such as GAD-7 (General Anxiety Disorder-7), PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire-9), Primary Care PTSD Screen for DSM-5 (PC-PTSD-5),  Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-v1.1) to aid in writing test accommodation letters for individuals. Testing accommodations can help ensure the tests are administered in accordance with your needs.

I ask critical, open-ended questions to gather information about your history, symptoms, and current functioning.

Let’s work together to optimize your testing performance and increase your chance for getting into that school or getting that job!

Why Testing Accommodations?

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines testing accommodations as “changes to the regular testing environment and auxiliary aids and services that allow individuals with disabilities to demonstrate their true aptitude or achievement level on standardized exams or other high-stakes tests.”

These accommodations allow you to apply strategies to help mitigate the impact your difficulties have on studying and taking exams. For example, you could take a break to reduce overwhelm and improve focus, have extended time to re-read test prompts, or use anxiety management strategies like deep breathing.

Each letter will address the clinical reason for each accommodation being requested.
