My clinical interests and experiences are in working with men, LGBTQIIA+ individuals, and adults; I am also a sex therapist, and I enjoy working with individuals explore topics related to intimacy and connection, as well as concerns related to desire discrepancy and sexual anxiety. I am trained and skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and using clinical interventions to support individuals living with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline and personality-related disorders, and OCD tendencies that affect self-esteem, sexual intimacy, relationships, work, and daily-functioning.

I work with individuals who seek to achieve balance between living in line with their values while being less constrained by limiting beliefs, internalized homonegativity, discrimination, and painful experiences. Within my clinical practice, I primarily operate from an eclectic blend of Narrative and Adlerian therapeutic styles. What this means, is that I will work with you to deconstruct problematic stories and experiences, while encouraging the separation of yourself from your problems; you are more than your issue. I view my clients through a holistic lens, in exploring important relationships within your life, your cultural background, and the many components that comprise your environment and social system in which you live. I enjoy working with clients in empowering them to find and use their unique voice, in rewriting their life story to better reflect and align with who they want to be. What's your story? What is the story you want to live?

In addition to the Adlerian and Narrative lens, I work with my clients explore, understand and address – through Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) – awareness of thought patterns related to anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD, in developing meaningful communication, and identifying those behaviors that feel more satisfying to the individual and in their relationships. Similarly, I incorporate aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my work with those challenged by personality-related disorders; this is to support clients in managing distress caused by past or ongoing painful experiences, while developing language and skills to increase mindfulness, self-worth, and connectedness.

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental health Counseling, as well as a certificate in Sex Therapy from Adler University, and I'm currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Counseling from the George Washington University. I am certified by The Board of Professional Counseling (Washington DC) to provide mental health counseling as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) while under clinical supervision, and I have also earned the distinct title of Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
